The Matrix Saga

Neo3The Matrix ….
I’m sure all of you have seen the movies. At least one or two of the trilogy.
Now, if you are one of those who say these are just another  plain-old shoot-and-kick-ass movies like those bruce willis’ and van damme’s , than you are totally wrong ! The trilogy is gotta be the best ever movies I’ve seen!  You can
say that I’ve become one member of those fanatic Matrix fans /cult.

The matrix’s have it all. Great actions, innovative special effects, deep philosophy,  and rich symbolisms. Okay, maybe the Wachowski’s had their minds biased towards several philosophical views and religion, noticebly: Christianism and Buddhism. But poeple with different beliefs could easily take the general philosophy contained and enjoy the movies as well.
One of the many things that amaze me about this saga is how they made the story plot not only in the movies, but intertwined with the plot of the game, Enter the Matrix, and the anime, Animatrix.
I have lots of things I want to say about The Matrix, so this post will be the start of many posts I plan to write about The Matrix; the movies, the games, the anime, and many things about it. If you are like me, fans of The Matrix and everything about it, please share your comments…

Fibonacci and sea shells

Hey…
Just found a great website about Fibonacci numbers, the so-called golden section and their wonderful (and sometimes strange) properties. Do you know that fibonacci numbers and the golden section appears naturally in many places ?

Just for a reminder, Fib numbers are 1,1,2,3,5,8,13, …. And the golden sections, is the limit of the ratio between a fibonacci number and the next, about 0.618….
Other ways to find the golden section is through the equation 1/x = 1-x.
For you who have read The Da Vinci Code (I have bought one, and read it), this is one of the clues and facts found and investigated by the characters. Pretty interesting I’d say. In fact, on that website, some informations (or otherwise, speculations) about Leonardo’s work that’s connected with Fibonacci numbers and the golden section are also mentioned, along with other artists’ work, including musician and movie directors.

Imperfection

Monday, June 20th, 2005

A very wise man once said, "Human is the place for mistakes and forgettances".
Truly they are, for all of us, with no exception, have done mistakes on our lives.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………….
God created many creatures in this world. Many of us would believe that among all He created, humans are the best and highest, for we got the ability to think, to feel and to decide based on our thoughts.
But still, humans are imperfect in their nature. And in fact, it is one of the basic charasteristics of every human being, to be vulnerable of mistakes.
Humans have been blessed with intelligence. With it, they are able to analyze, calculate, judge, estimate and decide the most appropriate actions to be taken based on the situation.
But humans live in the world that is full of uncertainities, unpredictablities and imperfections.
So, we cannot expect humans, with their limited minds, to be able to make the right decisions and take the apropriate actions at all times.
Nobody’s perfect, they say… So, if someone were to make a mistake, and he/she apologized for that, then not forgiving would mean not to accept / to deny our own basic nature, that is, to be capable of making mistakes, to err.
Forgive, cause we never know when we will need forgiveness.

Recovery…..

Today I came to my office. I’m still in a recovery from the injuries I had from the accident. Actually I feel so lazy to go to work, considering my condition. But, hell..the show must go on..
Anyways… my motor had been fixed. My friend took care of it, bought a new rear windows and fix the damages on the break and handling. Thanx…
But I don’t wanna ride on it… yet. I still feel the trauma.
My helmet had only  little scratches on the front and side. I feel fortunate to have bought that helmet. It saved me ! If I wasn’t wearing that helmet when  I falled down, I don;t know what would happen to me. My head hit  quite hard on the road !!
Hope I can be better soon….and ride on my motor again, but more carefully this time ^_^.

Ouucchh!!

As everybody say… for every dark cloud, there’s a silver lining. This, I feel, includes my little ‘accident’  experience I just had yesterday… Wanna know the story ? Just carry on.

Yesterday, I had to go to my office at Darmaga. At 10 o’clock I had to attend a seminar of one of my friend, as the moderator of the seminar. It finished at 11.0 I stayed in the office till 12.00, had a lunch and then headed back to BS coz I had a meeting there at 14.00. I was riding on my motor, not too speeding, like I used to.
As usual….  the road was crowded with ‘Angkot’s. I had to drive in the middle of the road to be able to get through. Suddenly… out of nowhere (well not nowhere actually … from between two Angkots  few meters in front of me) came a motor speeding (I bet he was doing like a 100 or more) going right at me. When he was just about 10 meters in front of me .. I knew that we would crash each other. But I had no choice.. I was running between two crowded traffic and there’s no way I could step aside. All I could was trying to minimize the impact I was going to face.
And there it was … Baaanggg.. !!!!!
We didnt really crash at each other, but the right-handling on both our motors hit each other really hard. The right rear windows on mine and on his crash and break. Apparently he didnt have much trouble and managed to carry on… But me…
I wasn’t able to control my motor..It goes wild, right and left… and then slammmm ….!!!
My motor falled….I hit the road .. .hard.
………………………………………………………………………………………………
In a frac of seconds, my mind went numb…The world is a slow motion dream…
………………………………………………………………………………………………

Wake up , god damn it !..
I woke up, and the first thing I was thinking about was that wether the car behind me  would crash my motor or me. I looked behind, thank god. The pick-up car stopped right behind my motor. I was lying right in the middle of the road about 5 meters away from my  motor. The cars from the other direction also stopped, not far from me.
I didn’t feel a pain. I walk slowly the side of the road, as everyone around watched. Some men help me and pulled my motor to the roadside. They calm me down. I was calming down, getting a grip of my self. A men asked me: " Are you allright..?? Which is hurt ?"
Hurt ? AAAuuuwwhhh… Suddenly a ripping pain emerged: my right arm, my neck , my knee, my left hand fingers…
I opened my jacket and helmet. There were bruises on my right. There were few others on my left. My legs bleeded. And my knee, oh it hurts. I got limped for a while.
The man who asked me, said : "It’s okay.. we’ll help you". They gave me some medicine, and I layed down.
Anyway… My errands for that day got ruined. I am sure there are poeple who got dissapointed. For that I am sorry.
But as for myself, I felt  very lucky… What, you said ?
Considering the way I got fallen, the situation, the crowded traffic and the possibilites, I have to say that I was quite lucky that day. I bet some poeple who watched the accident would definitely agreed. It could’ve been a lot worse. Or fatal.

Anyway… as I said early in this blog, we have to be able to take the ‘hikmah’ out of everything that happened to us. Like this accident. At home, that night, I felt that I should be more grateful for the life I STILL have, for every breath I can STILL take, and for every love I can still share. I don’t wanna let everything pass meaninglessly…
And for a special someone who has gotten mad because I didn’t tell her the truth about the accident, I am sorry. I didn’t want to hide anything from you,… but I didn’t want to let you worried.

Brad Pitt and Helmet

Monday, June 13th, 2005

Brad Pitt !, that’s what one of my friend said after he saw me with my new hair cut. Of course, he was just joking… (Brad Pitt would be too happy if anyone said he looks like me…)
Anyway, whatever anyone say… I like this new haircut. It’s short, about 3cm, and it makes my head feel free, comfortable and off-nuissance. I know, i know … many fans of me may not like my new look. But, I think i’ve made a right choice with my new hair cut. In fact, I may prefer this for a longer time than i planned. Besides, I agree with what Sting said: "Be yourself, no matter what they say.."
And I think this is what I like…
Btw.. I bought a new helmet. It costs about 200 grand. Expensive you say ? Wait till you hear what the seller offered me. Some of the helmet he sells cost around 500 till 600 grand, each!
And you know what ? wearing this new helmet feels a lot better with my new haircut.
So,.. with this new look of me.. I should be updating my photos soon.. Hope I can get some time to do it real soon. My jobs and errands are just keeping me busy.
Later guys…..

I didn’t know there are blogs in friendster till my friend told me. Thought I’d give it a try. Don’t know if many poeple are using it right now, but it seems quite fun, so why not ?
I just hope i’ll have enough time to post on it continously.
Actually i’ve had a weblog at this place. But i just can’t find the time to post.
